This information is purely private and the confidential. This is the word we read or listens, whenever we signed any paper or we submit on line but how far it is true? And Is it really private and the confidential? Our privacy can be compromised or exploited by the hackers very easily. As we can see in the guardian video the ‘power of privacy’ that how easy it is for the hackers to enter in the system and the get all the private and confidential information and even the passwords. All of your information really can be hacked very easily.

Facebook and Whatsapp Sharing data.

We put our passwords and we believed that our information is safe but it is not. we are in constant watch of service providers. Recently there was a question raised by the people that service provider of the Whats app group have the access of all the messages which are sent by service users and they are sharing the data with Facebook. And if you are not agreeing, your account will be deleted. It means any of the information we are sending through the Whats App it is not confidential. And I believe now a day’s whats app is the most common way of communication. And it is not only local but it is most common way to communicate with the family or the friends overseas and even we do our business deals or ideas through this application. It was so scary as I have been sending my personal information through this application. And Whats app service provider accept that they have an access to the all the chats but they are not accessing until there is needed. But what if it is hacked by the professional hackers? So, people are moving from whats app to the signal which currently saying that they can not access the information. Which also put us in a doubt is it really true?

Recently I had an experience of hacking the information not directly with me but it happened in front of me. At my work one of the placement students received a call that Police is coming to arrest her. What actually had happened that he got a call from the Police Station number with all of their private information and the person on the phone put allegation on him that he is staying illegally in Australia and the other allegation. He said police is reaching to you in any moment because an arrest warrant has been issued for her or if she wants to avoids this situation, she needs to give the penalty of $3300. In the panic she was about to transfer the money. Our employer suggested her to tell them that she will contact them back after consulting the lawyer and all of sudden phone was hanged up. After couple of days there was an attempt of withdrawal of the money luckily, they have informed the bank so they were saved.

So, if the police station number can be hacked that easily then what else we can expect. People are living in an unprecedented condition of ubiquitous surveillance. (Rainie, Anderson, The Future of privacy) and it is increasing the anxiety level of the people and is affecting the mental health as well.
